On Wednesday night, April 12 & 13, there was a 1 in 1000 year rain event that completely flooded out major parts of Ft. Lauderdale and other parts of South Florida. People were stranded, lost homes, cars...and unfortunately, we lost the gym. Water came in from the front street and the back alley flooding the entire building. Kevin has held his Jiu Jitsu Tribal Gym at that location since November 2016, building a tight-knit community and dedicated clientele that trained with him for years. It was a devastating loss overnight. Losing a business and with revovations in process....losing our dream of Sacred Union Arts.

Only 2 months prior had Phoenix's Father recently passed away and has been managing and processing intense grief while creating SUA with Kevin, who recently lost his business.

Through our GoFundMe page, family, friends, and longtime clients, we received an outpouring of love, support and assistance towards Dream Bliss and 2 weeks later we moved into our new location.
